Maritime Discussion: employing seafarers on short term/part time basis

        Many seafarers just waste their time while on leave or while appearing for exams.
Would shipping companies consider employing such people on temporary/short term basis since they know the domain and are well trained. Such seafarers will have a better understanding of how the office works and will be motivated, resulting in better performance while onboard. Any takers?
