Hello,
Through there is no directly mentioned rules about incinerator usage in port and coastal waters, it is the practice in most of the ships we never use the incinerator in ports and coastal waters.
IN ORB ( oil record book), recently from Jat 1 2007, the ORB rules were changed and we need to record C11 , oily sludge residues held on board every week, without fail.

Thanks,
Avadhani

Regarding Incinerator usage, it should not be used in anchorage within prt lmits and at port.

Regarding recording C 11 - it should be entered not less than week  and on arrival port (at end of sea passage) for arrival port entry. later this, no burning of sludge to be done till again leave port limits ( more than 24 miles).
