Cursed voyage of Russian ro-ro ship IMAN – murder, fire
MRCC Vladivostok reported fire in engine room of Russian ro-ro ship IMAN in the morning local time Nov 24 in Japan sea, some 200 nm off Primorye coast. IMAN with cargo of cars is en route from Toyama Japan to Vladivostok, crew 21, all Russians. Engine room was sealed, fire extinguishing system activated. Fire said to be extinguished, but the ship is disabled, drifting. Offshore supply tug NEFTEGAZ-55 (IMO 8418459) was sent to assist and tow disabled ship to Vladivostok.

Freighter ran onto breakwater, Japan
General cargo vessel FUKUYOSHIMARU NO.1 ran onto breakwater while approaching Taketoyo Port, south of Nagoya, Honshu island, Japan, at around 0610 Tokyo time Nov 24, en route from Osaka with cargo of coal. Vessel was taken off breakwater in about 5 hours after collision, and docked at Taketoyo. Breakwater and freighter sustained damages, extent unknown, see pics. Navigational error said to be the cause of collision.

Iranian freighter lost control, steering compartment flooded, Russia
Iranian freighter KASRA-1 lost control at 2340 Moscow time Nov 22 at 3602 kilometer mark, river Volga, after water ingress into steering compartment, which was eventually, flooded. The ship was brought to anchor outside channel, traffic not affected. KASRA-1 with 2320 tons of general cargo on board is en route from Astrakhan Russia to Enzeli Iran, Caspian sea. In the morning Nov 23 she was at the same position.

Ferry ran onto shore, destroyed port office
Ferry JETLINER with 181 passengers on board ran onto the shore at high speed while approaching Kendari port, southeast Sulawesi island, Indonesia, in the evening Nov 23. Ferry arrived to Kendari from Baubau, Buton Island. According to passengers statements, ferry suddenly lost control and veered off course, some said they heard an explosion prior to accident. ferry crashed into a port office building. No injures were reported, all passengers were evacuated. Building, obviously, is badly damaged, ferry also should sustain some bow damages, probably serious. Photo Asdar/MNCMedia.
