NIMASA to Enforce "Strict Compliance" with IMO Sulphur Cap
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is to enforce strict compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulation prohibiting ships from burning marine fuels with sulphur content higher than 0.5 pct by 2020.

Polish fishing boat sank in collision with container ship, Baltic sea
Container ship BEGONIA S collided with Polish charter fishing boat in the evening Nov 3 off Bornholm island, Baltic sea. Boat sank, 19 people on board, including 3 crew and 16 fishermen, were rescued by Danish SAR rescuers. BEGONIA S was en route from UK to Poland, she was ordered to anchor at Ronne anchorage, Bornholm, for investigation. Container ship breached in collision, New Mangalore
Container ship X-PRESS BRAHMAPUTRA collided with pier while leaving New Mangalore Port, India, at around 0730 LT Nov 3. The ship sustained hull breach in portside stern area, several meters long. Fuel tank was damaged, fuel spill occurred, but according to official statement, it was quickly taken under control. The ship was brought back, for investigation and repairs.
