German Panamax refloated, details unclear
Bulk carrier DORA SCHULTE, which ran aground on Nov 20 in Limende Strait, between Bangka Belitung islands, was refloated on Dec 15 or earlier, and sailed, seemingly, to her initial port of destination, Cigading, westernmost Java, Sunda Strait. No information on damages and on salvage operation. Latest available AIS position dated afternoon Dec 15, see pic.

Lay-up ship sparked pollution fears, Greece
Passenger ro-ro ship MAKEDONIA dragged anchor in Selini Kinosoura waters, Salamina Island, Gulf of Saronic, Greece, at night Dec 16 in stormy weather. Derelict and unmanned ship is either in lay-up or decommissioned, for quite a long time, judging from her looks. Fearing possible oil leak, maritime authorities fenced the ship off with booms. Understood the ship didn t drift aground.

Spanish freighter disabled in Gibraltar Strait
General cargo ship MANUELA E suffered mechanical failure and started to drift in Gibraltar Strait shortly after 0500 UTC Dec 17, while en route from Algeciras to Huelva, Spain. Spanish Salvage tug towed MANUELA E back to Algeciras, she was moored at around 1020 UTC.
