Delivery of North America s 1st LNG-Powered Cruise Ship Delayed
Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku has delayed delivery of Carnival Cruise Line s new cruise vessel, Mardi Gras, until late October 2020.
The 180,000 GT newbuild, which was scheduled for delivery in August 2020, will be the largest Carnival Cruise Line ship ever constructed and the first in North America to be powered by LNG.
In June 2019, Meyer Turku launched the hull assembly phase of Mardi Gras, which was followed by the arrival of the floating engine room unit from Neptun Werft in Germany.Posted On:21-Dec-2019

Total, Pavilion Energy Affirm Commitment to LNG Bunkering in Port of Singapore
Pavilion Energy Singapore and Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions (TMFGS) have signed a ten-year fully-termed agreement to jointly develop an LNG bunker supply chain in the Port of Singapore.
This agreement follows the Heads of Agreement inked by the two companies in June 2018.
Specifically, the cooperation includes the shared long-term use of the 12,000 cbm LNG bunker vessel newbuild that will allow each party to supply LNG bunker to its respective customers.Posted On:21-Dec-2019

Nickel ore inventories at Chinese ports declined to 14.41 million wmt
Nickel ore inventories across all Chinese ports decreased 500,000 wmt in the week ended December 20 to 14.41 million wmt, showed SMM data.
This equated to 123,000 mt in metal content, down 4,200 mt from a week ago.

Construction of HES Hartel Tank Terminal quay walls complete
The finish line has been reached! The quay walls, the jetty and associated works for the currently under construction HES Hartel Tank Terminal were completed on schedule today, 17 December 2019. The HHTT Consortium, comprising Van Hattum and Blankevoort (Koninklijke VolkerWessels), Mobilis (TBI) and Boskalis Nederland, has handed over the construction site to its client, the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
