Bulk carrier damaged in collision in Gulf of Finland
Two cargo ships collided in Gulf of Finland south of Porvoo, near Kalbadagrund lighthouse, at around noon local time Feb 25. According to Finnish CG report, collision occurred when both ships were in ice, one which was moving struck another one which wasn t under way or was gathering way. Both ships sustained damages, one suffering a hole in bulb nose area above waterline. Both ships were allowed to resume their voyages, both are sailing in western direction. According to available information, one of the involved ships was bulk carrier OURANIA, as of 1500 UTC Feb 25 sailing in western direction at reduced speed.

Container ship ran aground approaching Port Said
Container ship RIO BRAVO ran aground at around 0730 UTC Feb 25 approaching Port Said, en route from Mersin Turkey. The ship was refloated at around 21 39 UTC same day and docked at Port Said at around 2200 UTC, with the help of at least 3 tugs. As of 3030 UTC Feb 26, RIO BRAVO was berthed at Port Said, no information uet on possible damages.

STELLAR DAISY lifeboat spotted deep in the Atlantic almost a year after tragedy?
UPDATE: Lifeboat was spotted by Indian bulk carrier PRABHU PUNI (IMO 9224037), photo taken at a distance of some 2 cables. Korean Government reject the possibility of this lifeboat being from STELLAR DAISY according to Government, there were two lifeboats on STELLAR DAISY, both were found and recovered during SAR operation last year.
