Dear Vikrant,

What do you know about the Merchant Navy or being a Deck Cadet? Have you done any research into merchant navy as a career option? If you have not, then i would suggest that is the first step you should take. Because once you get in and then realize that its totally different from what you wanted it would be real prime time of your life wasted.

But if you have done a reasearch and like what merchant navy has to offer to you, then i would suggest you get in touch with Maersk Line ( http://www.apmsingapore.com.sg/ - http://www.apmsingapore.com.sg/  go to careers -> cadet recruitment) , they have a good training program.

All the Best
S. Parashar
