Sailor rescued after drifting across Channel for three days
A sailor has been rescued from the English Channel after his yacht drifted “hopelessly” for three days without a working engine or radio.
Kent Police s Search and Marine Unit came across the vessel while on a routine patrol off the Port of Dover at about 11am on Sunday, the force said. The yachtsman told officers that his engine had failed, which also caused his radio to lose power.Posted On:11-Jan-2021

Ship crew member charged after allegedly swimming to Western Australian port against quarantine rules
A crew member of a bulk carrier ship has been arrested and charged after allegedly swimming ashore at a Western Australian port with the premier, Mark McGowan, labelling the incident "unusual".

Mundra port to charge $20 per person for crew change from February
Mundra port in Gujarat and run by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) said it will levy a facilitation charge of $20 per person for crew change.
The levy will be collected from February 1.

Reefer Captain defied owner and brought the ship to his homeland waters
Reefer EXPRESS 6 entered Thailand waters and anchored at Phuket island anchorage early Jan 8, without giving notice to authorities and getting permission to do so.
