Drilling ship explosion and fire killed 5, 15 injured, 2 missing, India
Offshore drilling ship SAGAR BHUSHAN, docked at Cochin Shipyard, Kerala, India, suffered explosion and fire at around 1000 LT Feb 13. Reportedly 5 workers were killed, 12 or 15 injured, 2 said to be trapped inside. Understood explosion occurred in a fuel tank during wielding works.

Disabled tug towed to La Coruna, another still adrift
Tug NAS PATHFINDER lost towed tug PUMA in Bay of Biscay on Feb 8 in vicinity 46 00N 007 53W, unmanned tug hull was left drifting, while NAS PATHFINDER had to be taken under tow because of steering failure. She was towed to La Coruna Spain, tug which executed towage is to sail back to recover drifting PUMA, marked with GPS beacon.

LPG tanker disabled in Bosphorus
LPG tanker GOLDEN SEA suffered engine failure at around 1130 UTC Feb 12 in Bosphorus near Maiden s Tower (Kiz Kulesi), while transiting the strait in southern direction. Two tugs were sent to disabled tanker, she was safely towed to Yesilkoy Anchorage, Marmara sea, and brought to anchor, traffic wasn t affected.
