Global warming? Passenger ship can t find way in ice covered waters near Japan
Passenger ship IGOR FARKHUTDINOV with 127 passengers on board can t get through ice in south Okhotsk sea and is slowly moving along ice barrier, looking for free water, off northern coast of Hokkaido, Japan. The ship, serving Sakhalin Kuril Islands line, is en route to Korsakov, Sakhalin, from southern Kuril Islands. She should reach Korsakov some 2-3 days ago, after some 20-hours trip under normal conditions, but very cold winter froze even southern part of Okhotsk sea, which is quite unusual.

Oil leaking from bulk carrier, probably through hull cracks, Brazil
Oil stains on water near bulk carrier MARCOS DIAS, docked at Santos Port, Brazil, were spotted on Feb 6. It is believed, that the fuel is leaking from ship s tanks via cracks in hull, divers were to survey underwater hull at night Feb 6, results yet unknown. All ship s operations are suspended, she s fenced off by booms.
