Japanese bulk carrier destroying dolphin at Gresik VIDEO
Philippine-flagged, Japanese-managed bulk carrier ACTION TRADER went out of control while berthing at PT Petrochemical terminal, Gresik port, on Jan 1, and the rest can be seen on video. Bulk carrier damaged dolphin and destroyed catwalk, no information on damages sustained by ACTION TRADER.

Ferry collided with pier, damaged, Heligoland
Ferry HELGOLAND with 78 passengers on board collided with a quay in Heligoland harbor, Heligoland Archipelao, Germany, North sea, at around 1300 LT Dec 31, understood while setting sail for a routine trip to Cuxhaven. Ferry suffered serious damages and stayed at port, all passengers disembarked. Cause of collision yet unknown. Ferry is serving Cuxhaven Helgoland route.

While en route from Busan Korea to Manzanillo Mexico, container ship ADAMASTOS ran into rough seas in the Pacific, arriving at Manzanillo on Dec 30 with damages containers, most probably some containers were lost.

Container barge lost some 30 container en route from Jacksonville to Puerto Rico
Tug pushing container barge got caught in rough seas while en route from Jacksonville Fla. to Puerto Rico on the night Dec 29, 25 or 30 containers were lost, many remaining on board damaged. Tug turned back and returned to Jacksonville, on photos container barge in St. Johns River. Name of the tug unknown. Dutch freighter fire at Seville, Spain
Fire erupted in cargo hold of general cargo ship docked at Seville port Terminal Esclusa, Spain, in the afternoon Dec 31. Fire was extinguished by firefighting teams both of port and of Seville city. The ship was loaded with beet, fermenting process said to be the cause of the fire. Ship s details weren t revealed except that she arrived from Lithuania. Most probably, ship in question is Dutch general cargo ship AMBER, which arrived at Seville from Liepaja, Latvia.

North Korean cargo ship collided with Russian freighter, Vladivostok
North Korean cargo ship RYONGYON collided with berthed Russian heavy cargo ship BOGATYR while unmooring from Berth 44 in Vladivostok Port, Russia, Japan sea, in the morning Jan 1. Russian freighter sustained portside stern damages, said to be mostly, dents and scratches. No information on RYONGYON damages, the ship was docked, and as of 1530 UTC Jan 1 remained in the same position.
