Cargo ship aground, crew and passengers evacuated, Flores sea, Indonesia General cargo ship ASIA RAYA, serving the line between Makassar Sulawesi, Selayar islands and East Nusa Tenggara, ran aground in Bonerate port waters, Bonerate island, Selayar Regency, in the afternoon Oct 26. There were 32 people on board, including crew and passengers, all were evacuated. The ship ran aground shortly after leaving Bonerato port, bound for East Nusa Tenggara.Posted On:28-Oct-2020

Offshore support ship sank in South China sea. The ship dragged anchor in stormy weather and drifted onto oil platform. It is highly likely, that the ship is still afloat. All sources mention 62 crew remaining on board and 125 jumping the ship. One more thing- collision just doesn t look all that disastrous, considering the type of the ship - offshore support ship, highly resilient and compartmented. APM Terminals Poti to develop new bulk cargo facility. APM Terminals Poti (APMT) and Poti New Terminals Corporation (PNTC) have signed a deal to jointly develop a new bulk cargo facility on the northern side of Poti Sea Port in Georgia.
Under the agreement, APMT will construct a new breakwater, 400 metres of quay wall and dredge up to 13.5 metres vessel draft. PNTC will build a new dry and bulk cargo facility including yard area and rail connection in Poti.Posted On:28-Oct-2020
