Polish ferry severely damaged in collision at Ystad, Sweden
Polish ferry JAN SNIADECKI went out of control and struck pier at Ystad, Sweden, at around 1100 UTC Oct 24, on arrival from Swinoujscie, Poland. Ship bow suffered serious damages, as can be seen on photo. Pier was also damaged. Reportedly, prior to hitting pier JAN SNIADECKI moved dangerously close to berthed ferry. Third Vessel Boarded off Singapore Over the Last Month
Armed perpetrators boarded a bulk carrier that was underway in the Singapore Strait on October 19, according to the regional piracy watchdog ReCAAP ISC.

Nigeria Accelerating Development of First Deep Sea Port through Chinese Investment
Nigeria is set to receive its first deep sea port in the city of Lekki, Lagos State, after the country signed agreements with China Development Bank.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu witnessed the signing of four agreements, including a USD 629 million financing facility that would accelerate the completion of the Lekki deep sea port project which started in 2011.
