India: Centre approves setting up of CFC at Maritime Cluster in Goa

Study: Pollutant emissions in ports more than doubled during pandemic
The pollutant emissions from the shipping sector increased significantly in major international seaports during the COVID-19 pandemic, researchers from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) have found. As informed, the NTU research team’s computations of pollutant emissions were from July 2020 to July 2021, which was at the height of the pandemic. Nigeria: Seafarers union speaks on arrest of over 100 fake officers
Seafarers union, the Nigeria Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA), has dissociated itself from the arrest of over 100 illegal officers operating as Merchant Navy outfit. Head-on collision between inland and sea-going cargo ships, Rhine
