Ardmore Abandons Public Offering Plan
Tanker owner and operator Ardmore Shipping Corporation has decided to abandon its public offering plan as revealed on November 19.
The company said that it would not pursue the public offering of senior unsecured notes at this time "due to capital market conditions."

Berge Bulk Linked to Acquisition of Capesize Quartet
Singapore bulker owner Berge Bulk has been tied to the acquisition of four bulk carriers, Clarksons Platou Shipbroking said in a weekly report.
Based on the report, the company is spending USD 98 million on the fleet expansion.

Liberia Steps Up Fight Against Maritime Corruption
Liberia has become the first ship registry to be admitted to the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN) as an associate member.
The Liberian Registry is comprised of over 4,325 vessels aggregating 157 million gross tons, representing 11% of the world s oceangoing fleet.

GOGL Lifts Options for More Scrubbers to Shield from LSF Prices
Dry bulk shipping company Golden Ocean Group Limited is equipping its Capesizes with scrubbers to curb its exposure to rising fuel costs from the impending 2020 sulphur cap.
GOGL said that it has declared the first four out of nine options to install exhaust gas scrubbers on Capesize vessels in addition to contracts to install scrubbers on 16 Capesize vessels announced in August.

Greenpeace Activists Board Stolt Tenacity
Six Greenpeace activists boarded Stolt Tenacity, a giant tanker owned by Stolt Tankers, while the vessel was underway off the west coast of Spain, in the Gulf of Cadiz, on November 17.
Greenpeace said that the move was made as a sign of protest against rainforest destruction in Indonesia, as the ship was carrying palm oil products from Wilmar International.

Norwegian transportation company The Fjords has unveiled plans to add another all-electric passenger vessel to its fleet, with the news that Legacy of The Fjords is now under construction at Brodrene Aa.
The 400 PAX, carbon fibre catamaran shares the design of sister ships Vision of The Fjords and Future of The Fjords but marks a bold move by the owners into a new operating area - the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

Ultrabulk, Partners to Study Sail Technology on Ships
Danish shipowner Ultrabulk is teaming up with Smart Green Shipping Alliance, UK s power station operator Drax and Humphreys Yacht Design, to study the possibility of installing high-tech automated sails on some of its dry bulk vessels.
The GBP 100,000 (USD 128,400) feasibility study would examine the potential of retrofitting Fastrig sail technology on an Ultrabulk ship importing biomass into the UK for Drax power station in Yorkshire, to produce renewable electricity.

Klaveness Combination Carriers, owned by Klaveness Ship Holding, has declared an option for the construction of a sixth combination carrier, CLEANBU, with Chinese builder Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding. The delivery date is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020.

Diana Shipping Signs Charter Deal with Berge Bulk
Greek dry bulk shipowner Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Singapore-based Berge Bulk Shipping for one of its Capesize dry bulk vessels.
The 174,186 dwt Sideris GS was hired for a period until minimum December 15, 2019 up to maximum March 30, 2020.

Helsinki Port to raise charges by 1.2%
The cargo charges of the Port of Helsinki Ltd will remain the same for 2019, but a moderate general increase of 1.2 per cent will be applied to other charges due to inflation, the port authority said in a press release on Wednesday.
The Port of Helsinki will introduce truck charges in urban ports during the rush hours in the morning and afternoon.

PowerChina International Group Limited Consortium (Bollore- PowerChina Consortium) has emerged the preferred bidder for the Ibom Deep Seaport Project (IDSP) in Nigeria.
