India: Paradip Port Trust gets go-ahead for Mahanadi port
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has given go-ahead to the Paradip Port Trust (PPT) for setting up a riverine port on the Mahanadi.
The proposed port would come up at Akhadasali village under Mahakalpada Block in Kendrapada district. Sources said the PPT had evinced interest to develop the riverine port as the Odisha Government had decided to set up such a port on PPP mode.Posted On:24-Nov-2020

India: Goan Mariners Celebrate As Norwegian Escape Starts Recruitment.
The Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Escape started its recruitment process on Saturday. After being docked at Mormugao Port Trust, the cruise decided to pick 2000 Goan seafarers, once they finished an extremely thorough and careful Covid-19 testing process.
