India: 8 Trucks Slide From Cargo Vessel Into River Ganga, 2 People Missing.
On Monday, eight stone-filled trucks sunk into the Malda district of West Bengals Ganga River. Eight people suffered the weight of the incident, with two missing and six rescued. The search operations for the missing people are ongoing.

Australia: Authorities stop vessel; seafarers on board beyond acceptable limits.
It is alleged a number of seafarers aboard the Panamanian-flagged MV Metis Leader were working aboard the vessel in excess of the periods permitted under the Maritime Labour Convention, as well as the limit permitted by Panama and Australia.
