4 crew from offshore tug and an unknown number of ANUKET AMBER crew were kidnapped. Tanker was released and as of 0530 UTC Nov 2, was sailing in northwest direction south of Lome Togo, destination unknown, with armed security on board.

German ship with Belgium bound steel arrested in Ukraine, collusion in terrorism |
Prosecutor General of Ukraine on Nov 1 issued statement, saying that Ukraine detained cargo ship COMAT in port of Mariupol, Ukraine, Azov sea, and confiscated 3,000 tons of steel plates, destined for Belgium. Steel plates were produced by Alachevsk Steel Mill, the Mill being under control of criminals since 2014, when Russia-backed criminals and so-called separatists occupied Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.

Hunter Group Orders One More VLCC to Feature Scrubber |
Norwegian investment company Hunter Group has decided to buy one additional 300,000 dwt very large crude carrier (VLCC) newbuilding from South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). The agreement for the scrubber-fitted eco-design VLCC (Hull No. 5470) has been signed between Hunter Group s subsidiary Hunter Tankers and DSME.

Cologne to Get LNG Shore-to-Ship Bunkering Station |
PitPoint.LNG has been granted the official permit for the construction of a shore-to-ship bunkering station for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Port of Cologne.
The company, a joint venture between PitPoint clean fuels and Primagaz Nederland BV, said that civil engineering work is now scheduled to begin for the LNG bunkering station.

Reports have again surfaced of problems in the clearing of cargo at Kingston Container Terminal (KCT). The Port Trailer Haulage Association issued a news release Thursday afternoon advising the commercial trade to expect delays in receiving shipments from the container terminal, as its members continue to experience lengthy delays.

Tuapse Sea Commercial Port nine-month cargo volumes totaled 9.4 million tonnes |
Cargo traffic at Tuapse Sea Commercial Port (TSCP Group, part of UCL Holding) in January-September 2018 fell 10.9% year-on-year to 9.4 million tonnes showing different trends in dry cargo and liquid bulk cargo segments. The decrease should be attributed to a 24-percent decline in liquid bulk volume, to 3.76 million tonnes.

Oil shipments from Georgia s Batumi drop 46 pct in year to Oct |
Oil and oil-related shipments from Georgia s Black Sea port of Batumi fell 46 percent in the first 10 months of 2018 from a year earlier, an official at a KazMunaiGas-operated terminal at Batumi said.
Some crude oil has been re-routed to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium this year, the official added, while some fuel oil has been sent to the port of Taman in Russia and Georgia s other Black Sea port of Kulevi.
