North P&I Club, ISWAN Launch New Helpline for Crew
North P&I Club has launched its new Mind Matters campaign, including a confidential helpline for crew provided in partnership with the International Seafarer s Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN).
The new campaign aims to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing at sea. Stena Bulk s Chemical Tanker Dodges Pirate Attack
Stena Bulk s chemical tanker Stena Imperial reported a suspected pirate approach on November 3, whilst on northbound passage through the Red Sea west of Yemen.

Formic acid leaked from one of the containers carried by container ship HSL PORTO at Leixoes port, Portugal, in the afternoon Nov 5. Details not clear it wasn t said if spill occurred on board of the ship, or after container was offloaded. Report: Global Alliances in Container Shipping Could Raise Competition Concerns
Container shipping alliances could raise competition concerns in what has become a concentrated market, according to the latest report issued by OECD s International Transport Forum (ITF).
In 2018, the top four container carriers accounted for 60 pct of the global container shipping market. Fincantieri to Set Up Cruise Hub in China
Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has signed contracts with the Shanghai City’s District of Baoshan to set up a cruise hub dedicated to support the shipbuilding and maritime activities in the cruise sector.
