Dec 27: CENTAURUS DREAM was refloated on Dec 20 or 21, and anchored. According to latest AIS dated Dec 27, she was berthed at Cilegon Pesco terminal.

Container ship crane damaged, failed to offload containers bound for Maldives
Container ship MIAMI TRADER sustained crane damage while offloading containers at Male, Maldives, on Dec 21. Ship s crane was damaged by container, the ship wasn t able to offload reportedly, half of the containers on board which were destined for Maldives. According to local sources, MIAMI TRADER sailed on Dec 24 with Male-bound containers remaining on board, heading for Colombo Sri Lanka, where she will undergo crane repairs. According to AIS though, container ship is sailing to Dar Es Salaam Tanzania, ETA Dec 30. Dar Es Salaam seems to be in ship s schedule, probably the plan was changed and they arranged repairs to be carried out at Dar Es Salaam.

Freighter grounding on Xmas night, Norway
General cargo ship EIDHOLM ran aground at around 2300 LT Dec 25 on a sandy bar at Ravelseidet, Nord Troms, northeast Norway, while en route from Tromso to fish farms. The ship refloated with high tide, understood by own means, at around 0230 LT, and resumed sailing in northern direction. On Nordlys nordlys.no photo grounded EIDHOLM.

Russian freighter dangerously listed, sheltered in Solent, UK
General cargo ship MEKHANIK YARTSEV had to change her course and seek shelter in Solent, Isle of Wight, after she developed heavy list, reportedly caused by cargo shift in North sea. The ship ran into trouble on Dec 25, at around 1300 UTC Dec 26 she was brought to anchor in the Solent, escorted by tugs and lifeboats. There s no immediate danger to ship or crew, said officials. The ship is en route from Riga Lativa to Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland. At Solent anchorage MEKHANIK YARTSEV is comparatively safe, now it s the problem of righting the ship and securing shifted cargo, which probably, will require taking her to Southampton docks.
