India: Government approves Rs 3,000 crore project for Paradip port
The government on Wednesday said it has approved a Rs 3,000 crore project to turn Paradip Port into a world-class port by setting up a dock.

Massive Argentina Oilseed Strike Is Over
Argentinas soy crushing companies signed a contract with the countrys oilseed workers unions late on Tuesday, ending a 20-day strike over wages that had paralyzed exports from the worlds top supplier of soymeal livestock feed.

Port workers slam Australia"s shipping measures after new COVID case in NT
A 25-year-old crew member on the Diamantina cattle export vessel, which has arrived in Darwin from Indonesia, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The man was tested onboard when the ship arrived at the East Arm wharf on Sunday night.

Shippers worry over falling standards of ports operations
Importers and exporters under the aegis of Shippers Association of Lagos State have lamented the continuous falling standards of port operations in Nigeria.

General cargo ship BEATA experienced engine issues in the afternoon Dec 28 west of Orkney, Orkney islands, and went adrift. The ship was adrift until morning Dec 29, when assumedly, she was taken on tow, being at that time close to northern coast of Scotland. Maersk mega container ship under tow to Algeciras
Container ship MAERSK ELBA was taken on tow by offshore tug ALP DEFENDER in the afternoon Dec 29, to be towed to Algeciras, Gibraltar, for repairs. Damages inflicted by fire in engine room on Dec 26 couldn t be repaired by crew means, to guarantee her sailing under own power and continue voyage to Felixstowe UK.
