GTT Acquires Icelandic Smart Shipping Solutions Provider
French engineering company Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT) has acquired 100% of the share capital of Marorka, an Iceland-based company specializing in smart shipping.
Marorka designs maritime energy monitoring and optimization systems for vessels, allowing them to reduce their environmental footprint.

Hyundai plans $540m investment in Russian Far East port
Korean engineer Hyundai E&C is planning to invest up to $540m in the expansion of the Slavyanka port in the Russian Far East, the Russian Far East Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) has announced.

PPA scores big in latest integrity survey, continues to veer away from corruption tag
For the second straight year, the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) scores big in the annual port user s satisfaction survey particularly on the aspect of integrity.
The 2019 survey conducted by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) involving the various port users nationwide showed that respondents to the survey gave the highest satisfaction rating of 4.43, equivalent to Very Satisfied, to the integrity of the PPA on top of its port facilities and services rendered.Posted On:25-Feb-2020

DP World closes deal to acquire Canadian marine terminal Fraser Surrey Docks
DP World, one of the world s largest port operators, said it has completed the acquisition of Canadian terminal Fraser Surrey Docks (FSD) from a Macquarie Group fund.
The Dubai company announced it would acquire the Vancouver marine terminal last May. DP World purchased the terminal from Macquarie Infrastructure Partners (MIP), a fund managed by the Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets division of Macquarie Group.Posted On:25-Feb-2020
