Cargo ferry fire, Gulf of California Ferry SAN GUILLERMO caught fire at around 1540 UTC Mar 26 while approaching port of destination Pichilingue, Gulf of California, Mexico. Fire started in one of the trailers and spread around in cargo deck. Tugs were deployed to fight fire, 24 passengers, understood drivers, were evacuated, no injures reported. Tanker explosion, fire, Bangkok. 1 crew killed, 3 injured Product tanker AMPAR 8 suffered explosion, followed by fire, in the afternoon Mar 27 in Chao Praya river mouth, Bangkok area, Thailand, while mooring at the Bangchak depot in Phra Khanong district. The ship arrived from Koh Si Chang Anchorage with cargo of some 3,000 tons of reportedly, crude oil (offloaded from large tanker). One crew died in the explosion, three were injured.
