Ever Forward Refloating Plan Revealed
Salvors will use five tugs to attempt to refloat the Ever Forward in Chesapeake Bay on Tuesday. Details of the refloating operation were released as part of a Marine Safety Information Bulletin first issued Sunday establishing a safety zone of 500 yards around the grounded ship in the lead up to the operation. 10 seafarers arrested over alleged fuel smuggling in Singapore
Singapore police have arrested 10 seafearers from two tugs allegedly involved in an illegal bunker transfer. The Police Coast Guard (PCG) held the men aged between 32 and 49 over a marine gasoil (MGO) deal on 23 March. The operation was carried out with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). UK Maritime Charities extend Redundancy and Retraining Fund
The Maritime Charities Group (MCG) has extended its Redundancy and Retraining Fund indefinitely due to continued demand.
