Containers lost at sea increased 400% in 2020 - 2021
There was a four-fold increase in the number of containers lost overboard during the 2020 – 2021 compared to the previous two-year. According to figures from the World Shipping Council (WSC) 3,133 containers were lost overboard in the 2020 – 2021 period compared to 779 in the previous period, an increase of 400%. Merchant vessel that ran aground is sinking
The merchant vessel, Princess Miral, which ran aground five nautical miles off Mangaluru on Tuesday, was sinking fast on Wednesday, according to official sources. Vietnamese freighter capsized, sank off Hai Phong
General cargo ship NAM THINH 126 issued distress signal at around noon Jun 22, being anchored at Hon Dau Anchorage, Hai Phong.
