Seafarer happiness back up, but risk of industry exodus rises

Sailors’ Society provides vital Covid support to more than 26,000 Indian seafarers
Maritime welfare charity Sailors’ Society has successfully distributed 5,000 Covid Care Kits, helping more than 26,000 Indian seafarers and their families in the fight against Covid-19. South Korea: HMM Introduces IoT Technology for Reefer Containers
South Korean shipper HMM Co. said Tuesday it had introduced internet-of-things (IoT) technology for reefer (refrigerated) containers and will launch a pilot project for testing. LNG Croatia Seafarers Required Vaccination to Work from November 1

Bulk carrier TRUDY second cocaine bust, this time in Rotterdam
Bulk carrier TRUDY hit headlines twice recently, first when French police seized the ship in English Channel on Oct 1, took her to Dunkirk and found some 1.1 ton of cocaine in cargo hold; second when on Oct 10 the ship was literally, hijacked during the night Oct 10-11. Now bulk carrier arrived at Rotterdam via Antwerp, early in the morning Oct 26.
