Crew Member Dies in Explosion on Bulker off Indonesia |
A crew member of a Singapore-flagged Capesize bulker was fatally injured in a gas explosion aboard the ship on October 28.
The 2014-built Cape India was transiting Makassar Strait at the time of the explosion, according to local reports.
The injured seafarer, reported to be of Chinese nationality, was transferred by a rescue boat to a hospital in Indonesia s Balikpapan but was subsequently declared dead.

Ferry-Swap Deal between DFDS and Moby Fails |
Danish ferry and logistics company DFDS and its Italian counterpart Moby have canceled an agreement related to Amsterdam-Newcastle ferries.
In September 2019, DFDS reached the agreement with Moby to acquire two ferries, Moby Wonder and Moby Aki, for deployment on the Amsterdam-Newcastle route.
Moby would in turn acquire the two passenger ferries currently operating on Amsterdam-Newcastle, King Seaways and Princess Seaways.

Carnival Takes Delivery of Third Vista-Class Unit from Fincantieri |
Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has delivered cruise ship Carnival Panorama to Carnival Cruise Line at its Marghera, Venice, shipyard.
Carnival Panorama is the latest unit in the Vista series the shipbuilder is building for the U.S.-based cruise operator.
The 133,500 GT ship measures 323 meters in length and features 2,004 passenger cabins to accommodate more than 6,500 people onboard, including staff.

Multiple Awards for Sustainability as DP World London Gateway reduces CO2 by a quarter |
DP World London Gateway has secured multiple recognition from The Planet Mark for reducing its carbon footprint at its Thames-based trade-enabling hub.
The integrated logistics hub secured two awards at The Planet Mark s national awards last month, winning the Supply Chain Engagement and Carbon Reduction categories.
The Planet Mark s report, earlier this year, highlighted that DP World London Gateway Port has reduced its carbon emissions by 24.9% per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit container) from 2017 to 2018.

Dominican Port Authority director Victor Gomez Casanova on Mon. stressed a commitment to contribute with public policies that strengthen environmental management, in an effort to prevent and mitigate the environmental impacts from port operations.
"The large commercial ports are increasingly aware of their environmental responsibilities, and of the need to incorporate, as a priority objective in their strategic plans, respect for the environment," he said.

Turkmenistan offers Malaysia to use transport corridor through Caspian Sea |
The prospects for cooperation in the field of international transport and logistics systems are discussed in Ashgabat during the Turkmen-Malaysian talks at the highest level, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen government.
"Turkmenistan, together with other countries, is creating multi-directional transit-transport and infrastructure logistics corridors in the East-West and North-South directions," said Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who arrived in Ashgabat with an official visit.

Maintain buy with a higher target price (TP) of RM1.06: Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd s (MMHE) nine months of financial year 2019 (9MFY19) core net loss of RM45 million, versus 9MFY18 s RM98 million, was above our expectations of a full-year net loss of RM57 million. However, the group did not manage to meet consensus full-year forecast of a RM9 million loss.
