General cargo ship PARAMUSHIR, berthed at Vladivostok Container Terminal, at 0830 LT Dec 19 reported hull breach in portside ballast tank on waterline level, 1 meter long and 0.2 meter wide. The ship is to be repaired, banned from leaving port. No information on breach origin.Posted On:23-Dec-2017

Freighter dragged tug on her bulbous bow
General cargo ship BBC KIBO collided with a tug when entering Porto Alegro, Brazil, on Dec 21, on arrival from Peru. Tug literally, was pinned on freighter s bulbous bow, and dragged along for some time, until freighter ran out. No information on damages, though there should be some. No injures reported. Disabled tug lost barge with 7500 tons of coal
Tug KBS 208 suffered engine failure on Dec 19 in Tanjung Selor district waters, northeast Kalimantan, Indinesia, while towing barge loaded with 7500 tons of coal. Disabled tug was taken on tow to be towed to Tarakan, probably tug is already in Tarakan.
