Esvagt to recruit 50 new seafarers
Danish offshore shipping player Esvagt has initiated a mass-recruiting programme following new long-term deals with TotalEnergies on seven vessels for operations in the North Sea. DNV Maritime boss highlights seafarer crisis once again
Treatment of seafarers is still falling far short of acceptable standards, according to DNV Maritime CEO, Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen. Maritime transport emissions must be cut sharply, EU agency says
Maritime transport emissions must be drastically cut further if the European Union hopes to become carbon neutral by 2050, the European Maritime Safety Agency warned Wednesday (1 September).
