Philippines: DoLE pressing to amend ILO seafarer protection rules
LABOR Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III said seafarers need to be better protected and proposed amendments to the 15-year-old maritime convention of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Australia: Maritime Union probed over selling union cars to friends, family

Danish bulker heavily damaged in collision with Greek bulker, Aegean sea UPDATE
Greek and Danish bulk carriers LEVANTES and CLIPPER COMO collided at around 0100 UTC Sep 18 in Aegean sea some 10 nm SW of Bozcaada island, Turkey.
