Taiwanese freighter distressed, crew evacuated General cargo ship JIN MING 16 HAO encountered rough weather in Philippine sea off Northern Samar Island, Philippines, and tried to shelter near Pambujan, north of Samar, on Jan 2. Vessel reported water ingress in engine room and asked assistance. She dropped an anchor, as can be seen on photo, not clear if she drifted aground. In the evening Jan 2 all 9 crew were evacuated. Oceanic trawler with 84 crew disabled in Okhotsk sea MRCC Petropavlovsk Kamchatka was alerted at 0555 LT Jan 2 by emergency message from oceanic trawler YUGO-VOSTOK-1 with 84 crew on board, which reported fouling propeller off Kamchatka coast, Okhotsk sea.
